The Year in Pictures They say a picture’s worth a thousand words, but they probably should have said that about a GOOD picture. When its good there’s little need for explanation or description. The work featured here, by Quick Throttle’s finest Motojournalists and Photographers like Randy Twells, Art Hall and George Childress, should hopefully speak for itself. That said, we did add a bit of context below each shot so you’ll know where it came from, and be able to find more pics and info in the Biker Galleries and in past issues online. Click HERE to see more! To borrow a cliché, it certainly was a year of triumph and tragedy. Maybe more of the latter, but we’ve been…

Story and photos by Ray Seidel In what is intended to be the largest gathering of Indian motorcycles west of the Mississippi, the 3rd Biennial Indian Day West was recently held in Pomona, CA. celebrating the 110th anniversary of Indian Motorcycles. Pre-1980 classic motorcycles got free entry, and on hand was The World’s Fastest Indian (which was fired up a number of times throughout the day) plus a screening of the movie. In conjunction with all this was the Flat Track World Finals. A sampling of Indians from an early camelback to the Gilroy era Chiefs was on display, including a couple of Rainbow Chiefs from Starklite Cycles and the new reproductions from KIWI Indian. Indian, so often ahead of…

These men saw that there were children in…

By Abel Pueblo, CO – Iron horses thundered into the steel city on June 4th and 5th for the 4th Annual Pueblo Biker Bash but like most things in its infancy, the only major event in Southeastern Colorado is experiencing growing pains. For the first three years, the Biker Bash was held in the first week-end of May and was…

The Devils Disciples is  a new old club in Tucson. They’ve been around forever but membership has sometimes fluctuated down to the last man standing. They are currently fleshed out with lots of new blood and fresh meat but it’s not quite as grisly as it sounds. They are rolling strong and carrying on the new old tradition of having…

Story and Photos by Darlene Ferris Motorcycles have been in Bob Cleary’s blood for nearly 50 years. When Bob wasn’t up to his elbows in grime working on bikes, he could be found riding, drag racing (gas and top fuel), custom building, selling, or just talking motorcycles. The love of motorcycles became a way of life for Bob when he…

2011 Toy Runs In 2011 there are many toy runs happening, in fact there may be more than ever. Why? Because the need out there is greater than ever. No doubt you, like the rest of us, are strapped for cash right now though, and you might not be giving like you did last year. Everybody gets that, even the charities who badly need your giving. I’ve found lately that, as corny as this may sound, just let your heart be your guide. If you feel moved to contribute to help a Veteran’s home get new blankets, or to bring a toy to a child at CHOC or to a church who’s organized a drive for some local families, then…
