Salute to American Veterans Rally Receives Honors from Governor Ritter

In a proclamation dated thirteenth day of June 2007, Colorado Governor Bill Ritter Jr. has officially proclaimed August 17 through 19, “American Veterans Rally Days in Colorado.

“We are extremely honored by the Governor’s proclamation.” Said Chris Mauter, Committee Chairman for the Salute to American Veterans Rally. “This recognition really solidifies the fact that the Rally’s efforts to honor American Veterans and our military are on the right track and being recognized by the State of Colorado at the highest levels.”

“This proclamation from Governor Ritter is a perfect complement for the 20th anniversary of our POW/MIA Recognition Ride,” said Jim Wear event founder and president of ProPromotions. “While some may discount the motorcycling community, no one can refute the massive showing of patriotism and the sheer number of people who participate in this event every year. We are so proud and thankful for the support of the motorcycling community. This proclamation is really for them and about them.”

This years Veterans Rally being held in Winter Park Colorado, promises to be the biggest and best ever. Noted features will include the Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall, Hot Air Balloons, military aircraft flyovers, parades, vendor exhibitions, tattoo competition, wild west gunfighters, veterans poker run, and live concerts from New Riders of the Purple Sage and Indigenous.

The 20 year tradition of honoring America’s true heroes this August in Winter Park, Colorado during the Salute to American Veterans Rally and Festival.
