– Join us for the Largest Women’s Motorcycling Event in 2020 –
The Suffragists Centennial Motorcycle Ride (SCM2020) is a cross-country motorcycle riding event designed to respect the history of great women in America and to inspire modern women to make their own unique mark on history. Ten starting cities with up to 100 riders each will flow together as they head East towards Washington, D.C. celebrating the centennial of the signing of the 19th amendment – women’s right to vote in the United States. Each of the routes will feature historical points of interest as they roll through the beautiful American countryside.
Registration options include a fully-guided (done-for-you) tour experience option, as well as flexible self-guided opportunities The three major west coast start cities are Los Angeles, San Francisco and Portland, Oregon. Each route will gain momentum on its Eastward journey and pick up other Star Cities (Start Cities) along the way. All three cross-country routes meet up in Knoxville, Tennessee, on the exact day the 19th Amendment was signed by Tennessee. Here we kick off a weeklong celebration and this is where the serious party starts!!! From Knoxville, everyone will ride together to Washington, D.C. — in small pods, not in a giant group! — for our three-day Grand Finale Extravaganza Celebration.
We invite you to be the visible symbol of freedom, opportunity, and appreciation for this country and our democratic process as 1,000 women and men ride in admiration and respect for those who came before us, and to inspire future generations through the undeniable joy of motorcycling.
With years of event planning experience and tens of thousands of miles behind us, the team at SCMR2020 understands the power and excitement that such an epic journey can offer. The camaraderie and friendships that form over the course of these Centennial events have changed lives, established life-long friendships, and have brought families together in a way that only riding motorcycles can.
