Eastside Harley-Davidson couldn’t have picked a better day to celebrate 21 successful years of selling and servicing Harley-Davidson motorcycles here in the Pacific Northwest! The weather was spectacular; hot and sunny, a perfect day for a huge outdoor celebration!

IMG_8568aAs I rolled into the parking lot it was jam packed with gorgeous gleaming bikes – some were taking part in the Bike Show and the rest belonged to those who rode in to check out the fun.

As I walked amongst the rows of show bikes one thing was clear – the competition was fierce! All of the entrants were having a great time talking to riders about their bikes and appreciating the rides of their fellow competitors yet hoping that they’d be the one taking home a share of the $2,500 in cash prizes!

Congrats to the following EHD Bike Show Winners: Casey Treat who won the Best of Show $1,000 prize and the Best Vintage Harley $500 prize for his 1955 Panhead, Brad Hall who won the Best Harley $500 prize for his tricked out 2013 Forty-Eight,  and Jerry Kesselring who won the Best non-Harley $500 prize for his 1978 Yamaha XS650!

IMG_8530aRadio personality and longtime rider, Spike O’Niell emceed the event and graciously posed for pictures with riders throughout the day and evening.

The stage was rocking with outstanding music by Aaron Crawford, whose band I can only describe as Country-Rock-Americana at its finest! Aaron’s vocals and stage presence were a huge hit with the crowd and several of the ladies commented on his wholesome good looks. Aaron has been in the music scene for a while and has played shows with Montgomery Gentry and Little Big Town to name just a few.

IMG_8563aFor those who wanted to cool off with a cold beverage such as an ice cold Rainer beer Eastside H-D had set up a nice sized beer garden. The Rainier beer girls were having fun mingling with everyone and playfully coercing them into playing a variety of fun games in which the riders could win some cool Rainier swag!

The hugely recognizable Rainier Beer bike and sidecar was there and riders had a blast getting their picture taken on it. In addition, the two Rainier Beer Grazers were jostling their way through the crowd and posing for silly pictures with the riders. Watching them was a real hoot!

Eastside Harley-Davidson hired Dickey’s BBQ to provide a free mouthwatering lunch to all of the Anniversary Party attendees! The BBQ consisted of pulled pork sandwiches, potato salad, macaroni & cheese, green beans, coleslaw, baked beans and soda or water.

Tossed in the mix were a handful of booths including Bell helmets, Eastside HOG, Rainier Beer merchandise, Black Sheep H-D for Christ boot shine booth, 12 Seahawks race car.

IMG_8592aI admit I didn’t spend a lot of time inside the dealership because it was so gorgeous outside. But I did walk through every department in the dealership and the EHD staff was hustling! There were long lines at just about every counter with riders purchasing and inquiring about the latest Parts and Service upgrades and what’s new and hot in the Motorclothes Dept. The Sales staff was assisting several people who appeared to be interested in or in the midst of making new bike purchases!

As I was about to leave I had a moment to catch up with Sebastian Bularz, GM of Eastside H-D. I thanked him for throwing such a superb 21st Anniversary Party and I asked him if there was anything he’d like to share with our readers. This was his reply, “I can’t believe that Eastside H-D is celebrating its 21st Anniversary! Not many local family owned businesses get that opportunity. I’d like to thank our customers and employees for making this a possibility! We’re the Northwest’s #1 volume Harley dealer, with the largest selection of Bikes, Parts and Motorclothes! If you missed the party, stop by any Friday or Saturday because our free lunch Fridays and Demo/BBQ Saturdays are in full swing!”

Eastside Harley-Davidson is located at 14408 NE 20th St, Bellevue, WA.
