The Winter Sale will follow the ‘live and online’ format as that of the successful Summer Sale, and will be on view in the 50,000 sq ft former RAF Bomber Station hangar at Bicester Heritage between Thursday 3 and Saturday 5 December by appointment.

The auction was originally scheduled to take place in October at the Carole Nash Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show, most commonly known as ‘Autumn Stafford’, which has recently been cancelled by the event organisers due to the latest government guidelines concerning COVID-19.

James Stensel, Bonhams UK Head of Collectors’ Motorcycles, said: “The decision to cancel The Carole Nash Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show will have been incredibly difficult for the Mortons events team but we look forward to celebrating the 40th anniversary of this world-leading motorcycle show back at Stafford next Spring”.

However, the Winter Sale will be bringing a little of Stafford to Bicester with the inclusion of the collection of Carole Nash OBE, a stalwart of the motorcycle community and founder of the namesake and industry leading motorcycle insurer.

Ben Walker, International Department Director for Bonhams Collectors’ Motorcycles, said: “We pride ourselves on bringing fantastic single owner collections to auction, many of the motorcycles we offer having been out of the public eye for generations. We are honoured to have been entrusted with the Carole Nash Collection.”
