Hello to all our motorcycling friends! We invite you to come party and help us celebrate our 41st Annual Spring Opener! Bring your friends, get away from the daily grind and enjoy this fun, exciting, old school biker campout!
Spring Opener is held at Silver Ridge Ranch in Easton, Washington, which is seventy miles east of Seattle off I-90. Take Exit 70, follow the bikes and you’ll find us just two minutes down the road.
Gates open at Noon on Thursday. There are plenty of places to pitch a tent or park your RV; the campsites range from wooded settings to large open fields. The main hub of activity takes place around a grassy amphitheater referred to as “the bowl” where a variety of vendors will line the upper outer perimeter selling everything from leather, jewelry, t-shirts and airbrushing, to tattooing, pins & patches, sewing & leather repair, and more! Plus there will be a couple of food vendors on hand offering the biker crowd an assortment of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
I always suggest that people show up on Thursday to get the most out of the experience and the best bang for their buck. To start with, EasyStreet Custom Cycles will be on site from start to finish all four days doing dyno tuning.
On Friday there will be a Burnout Contest (new this year) and Motorcycle Audio Competition (run by CAR•TOYS), a Poker Run with prizes all along the way, a Tattoo Contest, lots of vendors to browse plus live music – First up and event opener is One Gun Shy. Second up is national recording artist Darin Jones and the Last Men Standing.. and the last band Friday night is Powerhouse, who will rock the needles and leaves off the trees..
Saturday “the bowl” will be packed with fun things to do including: bikers judging or participating in the Spring Opener Bike Show, as well as everyone’s favorite activity – the Bike Games. And you can get your bike all cleaned and shined up by the lovely hard working ladies of our Bikini Bike Wash. Also on Saturday for its second year, we have the Moonshine/Pie Contest– so get your concoction ready to submit for judging in several categories including Clear, Apple, Berry, Cherries and more, plus Corn Whiskey.
On stage Saturday night, Petty Fever, a tribute to the late Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will get the night time party rockin’, followed by event headliner Jared Blake, national recording artist out of Tennessee.
Be sure to bring your lawn chair, ice chests and blanket so you can kick back and enjoy the fun!
The highlight of this year’s event will be the Saturday night drawings for four motorcycles and five guns! Raffle tickets for all are only $10 per ticket so get yours now! Tickets can be purchased from your local ABATE Chapter, by contacting ABATE of Washington or all during the event until just before the drawings take place– or until all the tickets are sold, so don’t miss out!
