A custom Renewable Fuels Association ethanol motorcycle by Paul Jr. Designs will be featured next Monday, June 11, on the reality TV show “American Chopper.” The motorcycle project is part of RFA’s recently announced $1 million “Fuel Your Knowledge” campaign to educate and inform consumers about the proper use of ethanol-blended fuels in motorcycles and other small engines.

What: The one-of-a-kind bike will make its public debut on the “American Chopper” show, hosted by the Discovery Channel.

When: The “American Chopper” episode airs Monday, June 11 at 10pm ET. Follow along on social media using the #fuelyourknowledge hashtag.

Who: RFA Vice President of Industry Relations Robert White took part in the filming of the episode with Paul Teutul, Jr. The unveil of the motorcycle was filmed at East Kansas Agri-Energy, an RFA member company in Garnett, Kan.

Why: The “Fuel Your Knowledge” campaign is designed to help educate bikers about the realities of compatability and the benefits of ethanol. E10 (10% ethanol) has been used in motorcycles as a safe and cost saving alternative to straight gasoline for decades. In fact, every motorcycle manufacturer endorses the use of E10, while some approve the use of even higher blends. The homegrown fuel provides the high octane that many bikers want. It burns cooler, cleaner, and is made from renewable resources grown by hardworking rural Americans.
