STATE’S MOTORCYCLE CHECKPOINTS ARE CONSTITUTIONAL: In a decision that is sure to drive civil libertarians and bikers up a wall, Federal Judge Gary Sharpe recently ruled that the checkpoints constitute an attempt by the state to promote motorcycle safety which is a manifest right of the state, and in the best interests of the public.
